Question 1

Can Zhongfu manufacture tungsten carbide parts from my drawing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Custom carbide parts are our core business. Send a 2D/3D drawing with tolerances, surface finish and working conditions; our engineers recommend a grade and can optimize the powder formulation to match your wear, impact or corrosion requirements.

Question 2

Which cemented carbide grades do you supply?

Accepted Answer

We supply standard WC-Co grades from YG6 to YG20, nano and ultrafine grain rod grades for end mills and drills, and nickel-bonded non-magnetic grades. Low-cobalt grades favor hardness and wear resistance; higher-cobalt grades favor toughness and impact resistance.

Question 3

What makes non-magnetic carbide different from standard carbide?

Accepted Answer

Standard tungsten carbide uses a cobalt binder, which is ferromagnetic. Non-magnetic carbide replaces cobalt with a nickel-based binder, so parts can be used near magnetic sensors, in MWD/LWD downhole tools, magnetic molding dies and corrosive media.

Question 4

How fast will I receive a technical reply?

Accepted Answer

Our engineering team replies to every inquiry within 8 hours, including grade suggestions and manufacturability comments on your drawing.

Question 5

Which markets do you export tungsten carbide products to?

Accepted Answer

Our carbide products are exported to more than 20 countries, including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Germany.
